Making It big!

New artist are born every day. Some are good, and some aren’t so good. To make it in the big music world it is hard. Once an artist becomes famous they then have to stay famous.  Artist start small, then become big my extending their fame. Miley Cyrus for example, started out on a TV show called Hannah Montana. It was about a young teen that lived a double life. One day she was as a world famous pop star wearing a wig to change her appearance, the next she was an average everyday girl living a regular teen life. She grew up on the show. Once she reached a certain age, they then came out with the Hannah Montana movie, where “Miley Cyrus” had to finally pick if she wanted to stay Miley or start a new career as Hannah Montana. In the end she chose Miley, and she started her career from there. From their she went from acting in movies to making new music. Many love her, and many love to hate her. She grew as an artist within time. An actor who once went from acting to singing: to advance her career. She is expanding her fame, by always staying in the media. Weather the media is good news or bad. Usually when Miley is in the media it is bad. She usually does things to get attention. I know it can be hard growing up on TV, but she is a completely different person then who she used to be. A lot of people look at her now and think “what is that girl doing.” She shows a very different side to her, then what we are used to.  For example, during the MTV movie awards she came off as what teens call now a days “ratchet.” You could look at her and tell she had no self-respect for herself.
Many still talk about the MTV movie awards, and how she acted.
She advanced her fame, because many were talking about her, and what she did for days, weeks, even months.  Even though she is advancing her fame, she is influencing young girls who grew up watching her. Many think it is okay to go around, and act how Miley is acting because they see someone famous doing it, so they think it is okay for them to do it. Maybe that is why our generation is very messed up; because girls now days are looking up to stars who act like this, and think oh if I act like this people will notice me. Yes people will notice you, but you look a mess and need to get your act together. It’s sad to see someone with such potential, throw it all away simply because she “doesn’t care.” Many people wonder if she is acting out for a reason. When something’s gets bad, you have to keep going. Not make it worse and just not care. Many would love to be where Miley is, except I honestly don’t think they would throw it away how she is. I could see her starting to go downhill. When you buy an artiste’s music, you are supporting that artist. If Miley is acting how she has been acting, she is going to lose her fans, which means fans won’t buy her music, because they don’t support what she is doing. Therefore Mileys career will be done. I know sometimes it can be stressful, but nothing in life is easy. And if you want something bad enough, you can make it happen. Even artist who make it big, and then go bankrupt because money is hard they always find a way to come right back out. Artist who just throw it away like Miley I have no sympathy for, if your choosing to throw your hard work away, then that’s on you. Once she is done though, she is going to have trouble getting back in because no record label is going to want her. Record labels won’t want her because she won’t make money, she is not a good role model, and she is a mess. She should have learned from Lindsay Lohan. Making it into the music industry is hard, but keeping your fans happy is even harder. The music industry is a very hard industry to get into, but keeping up with the music is even harder.

  1. I didnt even think about TV shows that arent singing competitions being ways for people to get a foot in the door for the music industry. People like Miley though, do things for attention though and whether its good or bad, is helping her career. Shes still selling albums and now has a brand new audience she didnt have before by changing her music style.
