There are many newspapers out there today! I do not read newspapers
often; I would rather watch the news. Newspapers to me are a waste of trees.
Well some are. A couple years from now some of them probably won’t be around because
they just aren’t good enough. So in my opinion why waste the trees. The only newspaper
that will probably be around a couple years from now will be the USA today newspaper.
USA Today covers news all around the U.S, unlike the Baltimore Sun and the New York
Times. Those manly have news about the cities themself. USA today is a very
interesting newspaper. It is more important to know what is going on in the
world, and not just the city you are from. USA Today writes about all kind of story’s
going on in the U.S. Whether the news is
good or bad. The point is to grab your attention. Some news have to deal with politics,
people, NFL, nation, tech, and opinion. It is not just about one thing it’s
about all kinds of news. This newspaper will still be there a couple years from
now because it’s good to know what is going on in the world. For example, the
sending troops to Syria when it has nothing to do with us.
A lot of people
agree we shouldn’t get involved because it is going to start a World War III. If
you read the Baltimore Sun, that story might not be in there. If it is in there
then it’s because it is the talk around the world right now, but if it wasn’t and
you do not watch the news or anything then some might not know what is going on,
and that is an important thing to know. It not only impacts the world but the
people around us, your family, it affects everyone. USA Today not only has news
and politics but it has world events, as well as the weather and I know a lot of
people like to know what the weather is going to be. Some newspapers don’t even
have that. The Dundalk Eagle for example, I am not from Dundalk so therefor I do
not care what happens or goes on in Dundalk. So hence I will not read the
newspaper. The only Newspaper I pick up when I have to it is the USA today.
Other than that I don’t even read newspaper, like I said before why waste trees
when we can watch the news on TV. In the end everyone likes a certain newspaper for a certain reason. It goes with who has the bigger company, and which news paper is well known. What I might like, other won't. Everyone reads different newspapers for different reasons.

You do have a good point about how it's easier to simply watch the news, rather than subscribe to a daily newspaper. I'm certain the one day most, if not all newspaper companies with go to strictly online news.
